Lindsey Russell's TV Journey
Becoming a Blue Peter Presenter
Lindsey Russell became a presenter for Blue Peter after winning a big competition. About 20,000 people applied for the job! Judges like TV presenters Eamonn Holmes and Myleene Klass helped choose her. She won the role soon after finishing her studies at the University of Bristol. There, she studied French and drama.
Exciting Challenges and Achievements
In 2016, Lindsey tried a very brave challenge for Sport Relief. She attempted to cross 21 miles between Northern Ireland and Scotland. She planned to do this inside a three-meter zorb ball! Unfortunately, she had to stop because of bad weather.
Lindsey left Blue Peter on July 15, 2021. On her very last show, she set a new world record! She achieved the fastest time to get dressed in cricket whites. This was a fun way to say goodbye to the show.
Life After Blue Peter
After leaving Blue Peter, Lindsey Russell joined Heart Radio. It was announced in December 2021 that she would start presenting on the radio in January 2022. She first hosted shows on Saturdays and Sundays. Since 2023, she presents the early morning show from Monday to Friday on Heart Radio.
