Some presidents, like Daniel Burley Woolfall, Rodolphe Seeldrayers, and Arthur Drewry, passed away while they were still in office.
The current president is Gianni Infantino. He is from Switzerland and Italy. He was chosen on February 26, 2016. Before him, Issa Hayatou from Cameroon was acting president for a short time. This happened after Sepp Blatter was removed from his position on October 8, 2015. Blatter was later not allowed to be involved in football activities for a period of time.
