Geography of Littleton
Littleton CDP is in the eastern part of the town of Littleton. It sits on both sides of the Ammonoosuc River. This area also reaches north to include Parker Mountain, which is about 1,905 feet high.
The CDP shares a border with the town of Bethlehem to the southeast. To the southwest, it is next to Interstate 93. The northern edge of the CDP follows several roads and a brook. These include West Main Street, Brickyard Road, and Farr Hill Road.
Major Roads and Travel
Interstate 93 runs along the southern side of Littleton CDP. You can get onto I-93 from Exit 41 (Cottage Street/US 302) and Exit 42 (Meadow Street/US 302).
- I-93 goes northwest about 19 miles to St. Johnsbury, Vermont.
- It also goes south through the White Mountains' Franconia Notch. This route leads about 85 miles to Concord, which is the capital of New Hampshire.
U.S. Route 302 is the main street in Littleton.
- To the east, Route 302 becomes Cottage Street and Bethlehem Road. It leads about 5 miles to Bethlehem.
- To the west, it becomes Meadow Street and goes southwest about 21 miles to Woodsville.
New Hampshire Route 116 starts on Union Street in Littleton. It travels northeast about 10 miles to Whitefield.
