Manchester Center is found in the northeastern part of the larger town of Manchester. This area includes the main community of Manchester Center and a nearby place called Manchester Depot, which is to the east.
The community is next to the village of Manchester on its southwest side. The United States Census Bureau says that Manchester Center covers about 11.74 square kilometers (about 4.53 square miles). Most of this area is land, with only a tiny bit (0.04 square kilometers or 0.015 square miles) being water.

Getting Around Manchester Center
Roads and Travel
A major road, U.S. Route 7, runs through the eastern part of Manchester Center. This road is a "super two" freeway, which means it has two lanes in each direction but isn't a full highway. You can get onto it from an exit that connects to VT 11 and VT 30.
Other important roads like VT 11, VT 30, and Vermont Route 7A meet in the village. VT 7A used to be part of US 7. It goes north to East Dorset and south to Arlington and Bennington. VT 30 heads northwest to Dorset and Pawlet, and southeast over the Green Mountains to Brattleboro. VT 11 goes east across the mountains to Springfield, Vermont.
To help with traffic, the village added special roundabouts called traffic circles in two places in 2012.
