Mason Blake Ramsey (born November 16, 2006) is an American singer. He became famous in March 2018 after a video of him yodeling "Lovesick Blues" by Hank Williams went viral at a Walmart store. Soon after, Ramsey signed with Big Loud Records.

How He Became Famous
In March 2018, when he was 11 years old, Mason Ramsey was filmed singing "Lovesick Blues" in a Walmart store. This happened in Harrisburg, Illinois. Within just a few days, videos of his performance were watched over 25 million times. He quickly became a huge online sensation and an internet meme.
His performance made many people interested in Hank Williams' original 70-year-old song. Rolling Stone magazine reported that "Lovesick Blues" became very popular on Spotify's Viral 50 chart. It reached number three in the U.S. and number four worldwide.
Music and Performances
Because of his new fame, Mason Ramsey appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. He shared that his dream was to perform at the Grand Ole Opry one day. Ellen surprised him by arranging for him to perform there the very next weekend!
On April 13, 2018, DJ Whethan brought Mason Ramsey on stage at the 2018 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. Later that month, Mason signed a record deal with Atlantic Records and Big Loud.
First Songs and Albums
His first song, "Famous", reached number 62 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart. His first collection of songs, called an EP (Extended Play), also did well. It debuted at number 7 on Billboard's Heatseekers Albums chart.
Mason Ramsey performed many iconic number 1 songs for the Billboard Hot 100 chart's 60th anniversary. He sang hits from artists like Mariah Carey, Billy Joel, Stevie Wonder, and Adele.
In June 2018, he released his own version of "Lovesick Blues". He also released "Jambalaya (On the Bayou)" and "The Way I See It". His first EP, Famous, came out on July 20, 2018.
He was also featured on a remix of "Old Town Road" by Lil Nas X, along with Billy Ray Cyrus and Young Thug. Mason even joined Lil Nas X on stage to perform it at the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards. That same year, he was recognized by the YMCA as one of their "15 under 15" for his contributions to country music.
Recent Music
After taking a break, Mason Ramsey appeared in a Burger King commercial in 2020. In the ad, he yodeled about cow-based methane emissions. He also shared that he now plays basketball under the name Mason Blake.
In 2022, his song "Before I Knew It" from his 2019 EP Twang became popular on TikTok. He used it in videos where he updated his followers about his life, even revealing he worked at Subway.
On June 30, 2023, Mason released "Reasons to Come Home", his first new song in almost four years. He followed this with "She Got It Outta Me" in August 2023 and "Next Right Thing" in September 2023. These three songs, plus two new ones, were part of his EP Falls Into Place, released on October 20, 2023. On November 10, 2023, he released a country Christmas song, "Run Rudolph Run".
In 2024, Mason continued to release new music. "Here All Day" came out in January, followed by "Blue Over You" in February, and "Something You Can Hold" in April. On June 20, 2024, he performed with Lana Del Rey at Fenway Park, singing a duet of "Blue Over You". In late June 2024, he released two more songs: "All The Way To Memphis" and "How Do I Know If I'm In Love". His first full album, I'll See You In My Dreams, was released on September 20, 2024.
