Massaponax is a small community located in Spotsylvania County, Virginia, in the United States. It's called an "unincorporated community" because it doesn't have its own local government like a city or town. Instead, it's part of the larger county.
The name Massaponax comes from an old Native American village that was here long ago. The name means "corn as tall as a man," which tells us that corn was an important crop in this area.
