Meredith Salenger (born March 14, 1970) is an American actress. She has been in many movies and TV shows. Some of her famous roles include the main character in the 1985 Disney film The Journey of Natty Gann. She also starred in the 1989 teen comedy Dream a Little Dream.

About Meredith Salenger's Early Life
Meredith Salenger was born and grew up in Malibu, California. Her mom, Dorothy, was an interior designer. Her dad, Gary Salenger, was a dentist. Her family is Jewish, and they came from Austria and Russia.
Meredith went to Harvard University. She studied psychology and graduated in 1992. She also learned about solving problems as a mediator. Sometimes, she helps people solve disagreements when she is not acting.
Meredith Salenger's Acting Career
Meredith Salenger's first big role was in the Disney movie The Journey of Natty Gann. She played the main character, Natty. Before she turned 18, she starred in four more films. These included A Night in the Life of Jimmy Reardon and Dream a Little Dream.
After these early successes, she decided to go to Harvard. She wanted to continue her education.
Returning to Hollywood
When Meredith came back to Hollywood, she kept acting. She appeared in movies like Lake Placid and The Third Wheel. She also acted in independent films. These included Quality Time and Sparkle & Charm.
In 1998, Meredith was in an episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. She also sang a song called "Flow Through Me." You might have seen her in the music video for "Hanging Around" by Counting Crows.
