Milford is a village located southwest of Godalming in Surrey, England. It is part of the Witley and Milford civil parish. Milford was a small village a long time ago. It grew a lot after the Portsmouth Direct Line railway was built. This railway brought its own train station to the village.

Today, Milford has many shops and services for its residents. It is also close to a major road, the A3. This road is one of Britain's main highways. The western part of the parish is in the beautiful Surrey Hills AONB. This is an area known for its natural beauty.

Getting Around Milford

Until the 1990s, the A3 road used to run through the edge of Milford village. Now, a bypass goes around it to the west. Milford is still an important road junction. Here, the A283 road and A286 road leave the A3 and head south towards West Sussex.

Milford railway station is on the Portsmouth Direct Line. This is a main railway line between London Waterloo and Portsmouth Harbour.
