How the Team Started
The Monégasque Football Federation was created in April 2000. Soon after, in June of the same year, Monaco played its first game. They played against the Gibraltar team and lost 5–0.

About the Team
Since 2001, the Monaco team has played 27 games. They have won eight games, tied six, and lost thirteen. The team plays against different kinds of opponents. These include local clubs, other nations, and even groups of people or territories that are not officially recognized as countries.
The team is currently managed by Martino López. They play their home games at the Stade Didier Deschamps in Cap-d'Ail, France. In November 2020, Monaco was ranked 200th in the world by Elo Ratings.
