The Monaco national football team represents the country of Monaco in association football, also known as soccer. This team is managed by the Monégasque Football Federation, which is the main group for all football in Monaco.
Monaco is not a member of FIFA or UEFA. These are the biggest football organizations in the world. Because they are not members, Monaco cannot play in major tournaments like the FIFA World Cup or the UEFA European Championship.
Monaco was one of the first members of the N.F.-Board in 2003. This group was for teams not part of FIFA. Monaco even came in second place in the first 2006 VIVA World Cup. However, Monaco later left the N.F.-Board in 2010.
Even though Monaco has a National Olympic Committee, they have never joined the football tournaments at the Summer Olympics or the Mediterranean Games.

History of Monaco Football
How it Started
The Monégasque Football Federation was created in April 2000. Soon after, in June of the same year, Monaco played its very first match. They played against Gibraltar and lost 5–0.
A year later, Monaco played against Tibet in Freiburg, Germany. This time, Monaco won the game 2–1.
About the Team
Since 2001, the Monaco team has played many games. They have won eight matches, tied six, and lost thirteen. The team plays against different opponents. These include local clubs, other nations, and even teams from areas not officially recognized as countries.
The team's home stadium is the Stade Didier Deschamps in Cap-d'Ail, France. As of November 2020, Monaco was ranked 200th in the world by Elo Ratings.
The Monaco team has about sixty players. Most of them are not professional footballers. They are often civil servants or work for the Société des bains de mer de Monaco. Only a few players have professional experience.
Competitive Record
The Monaco national football team has competed in the VIVA World Cup. This tournament was for teams not part of FIFA.
