Mount Alice is a tall mountain peak located in the northern Front Range of the Rocky Mountains in North America. It stands at 13,315-foot (4,058 m) (about 4,058 meters) high. This makes it a "thirteener," which is a mountain over 13,000 feet but under 14,000 feet.

Mount Alice is found inside the beautiful Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado, United States. It sits right next to the Continental Divide. This divide is like a giant line that separates rivers flowing to the Atlantic Ocean from those flowing to the Pacific Ocean. The mountain is named Mount Alice, but it's not exactly clear who this Alice was.

Climbing Mount Alice

Climbing Mount Alice is a fun adventure for experienced hikers. Most climbers start their journey from an area called Wild Basin. It usually takes a long day to reach the top and come back down.

Popular Routes

There are two main ways people usually climb Mount Alice:

• Hourglass Ridge: This route goes above a group of lakes called Lion Lakes.
• Boulder Grand Pass: This path takes you above Thunder Lake.

Both of these routes are considered "Class 3 scramble" climbs. This means you'll need to use your hands for balance and sometimes pull yourself up small rocks. However, you won't need special climbing gear like ropes or harnesses for these paths.

Over time, Mount Alice has been known by a couple of different names.

• Mount Alice – This name was officially given in 1911.
• Sioux Mountain – Before 1911, the mountain was sometimes called Sioux Mountain.
