Where Water Flows from Mount Crescent

Water from Mount Crescent travels in different directions. This is called its drainage.

Water Flowing East and South

The water from the southeast side of Mount Crescent flows into Moose Brook. From there, it joins the Androscoggin River. This river eventually reaches Merrymeeting Bay, which is where the Kennebec River meets the sea. Finally, this water flows into the Gulf of Maine.

The southwest part of Mount Crescent drains into Carlton Brook. This brook then flows into the Moose River. The Moose River is another stream that also joins the Androscoggin River.

Water Flowing West

Water from the northwest side of Mount Crescent goes into the Upper Ammonoosuc River. This river then flows into the Connecticut River. The Connecticut River travels a long way south. It finally empties into Long Island Sound in Connecticut.
