Myra Shackley is also a priest in the Church of England. She became a priest in 1999. She advised on tourism for the Southwell Diocese. She also served as a priest at Southwell Minster until 2009. After that, she became a parish priest in North Yorkshire. She worked in towns like Spofforth, Kirk Deighton, Follifoot, and Little Ribston. She retired from this role in 2015.
