Natalia Altea Jiménez Sarmento (born 29 December 1981) is a talented Spanish singer and songwriter. She began her music journey in the 2000s. She was the lead singer of a popular group called La Quinta Estación.
Later, Natalia started her solo career. Her first solo album was simply called Natalia Jiménez. She has won important music awards like the Grammy and Latin Grammy. She has sold over 3 million albums around the world. Natalia has also sung with many famous Latin music stars. These include Marc Anthony, Daddy Yankee, and Ricky Martin.

Natalia's Music Career Journey
Natalia Jiménez started her career very young. When she was just 15, she played music in the subway and on the streets of Madrid.
In 2001, she signed a deal with BMG Entertainment. She became the main singer of La Quinta Estación. With this group, she became very famous in Spain, Mexico, and the United States. This success came from albums like Flores de Alquiler, El Mundo Se Equivoca, and Sin Frenos.
After living in Mexico for more than eight years, Natalia moved to Miami. There, she focused on her first solo album. It was released on 21 June 2011. This album quickly became number one on the iTunes Latin Pop chart. Natalia was also nominated for "Female artist of the year" at the Billboard Latin Music Awards. In early 2012, she won the Premio Lo Nuestro award for "Revelation of the year." This award is for a new artist who has made a big impact.
Her second solo album, Creo en Mi, came out on 17 March 2015. It reached number one in Puerto Rico. It also reached number two on the Billboard Latin Albums chart. This album earned her two Latin Grammy nominations. These were for Album of the Year and Song of the Year.
In 2016, Natalia released her third solo album. It was called Tributo a la gran señora. This album honored the famous Mexican-American singer, Jenni Rivera.
In 2019, she released a song called "Nunca Es Tarde." She sang it with Jesús Navarro, who is the lead singer of Reik. This song also became the main theme for a TV show called Amar Sin Ley.
In August 2019, Natalia released an album of ranchera music. Ranchera is a traditional Mexican music style. The album was named México de mi corazón. It quickly became very popular in Mexico and the United States. It earned a Gold Record and had over 55 million plays worldwide.
México de mi corazón celebrates Mexican music. It features duets with many great singers. These include Carlos Rivera, Pedro Fernández, Paquita la del Barrio, and Lila Downs. The album also includes music from Mariachi Gama Mil. Natalia even got special permission to use choirs with the voice of the legendary Juan Gabriel.
Natalia has also been a coach on TV music shows. She was a coach for three seasons of La Voz Kids USA. She won twice with her team. She also coached on La Voz...Mexico. In 2020, Natalia returned to Spain. There, she was a judge on the reality show Operación Triunfo. In 2021, she coached on the Colombian Kids and Senior versions of La Voz. She won both of these shows. She is now one of the female coaches with the most wins on The Voice shows worldwide.
Natalia's Personal Life
Natalia Jiménez was born in Madrid, Spain, on 29 December 1981. Her father was Spanish, and her mother was Portuguese. Both of her parents were musicians.
In 2016, Natalia surprised many by announcing her marriage to Daniel Trueba. They had a daughter named Alessandra, who was born on 21 October 2016. In January 2021, Natalia shared that she and Daniel had separated and were getting a divorce.
Natalia is now engaged to her manager, Arnold Hemkes. She lives in both Miami, Florida, and Mexico City, Mexico. She often visits her family in Madrid.
