The show was created by Goldie, a famous drum and bass artist. The series, Goldie's Band By Royal Appointment, told each musician's story. Then, they had to write 12 songs. They performed these songs at a concert in Buckingham Palace. Prince Harry was a special guest at the concert.
After the show, Verve Records signed Natalie. She recorded her first album, Devil In Me, at Peter Gabriel's Real World Studios. Joe Henry produced the album. It was recorded live in just two weeks.
