Nestea is a well-known brand that makes iced tea and other drinks. It started in Switzerland. Nestlé owns Nestea. The drinks are made by The Coca-Cola Company and sold by Nestlé in the United States. In most other places, they are sold by a special team called Beverage Partners Worldwide (BPW). This team is a partnership between Coca-Cola and Nestlé.

Nestea offers many kinds of tea products. You can find liquid and powdered tea mixes. They also have teas you keep in the fridge. Many people enjoy their ready-to-drink bottles. These are often sold in stores or from vending machines. Nestea comes in different flavors, depending on where you live. Some popular flavors include lemon, raspberry, and peach.

A Partnership Changes

For 16 years, Nestlé and Coca-Cola worked together on Nestea. This partnership was called Beverage Partners Worldwide (BPW). In 2017, they decided to end this joint venture. Both companies wanted to try new ways of doing business. The market for drinks was changing quickly.

After the partnership ended, Nestlé took over selling Nestea in most countries. However, Coca-Cola still sells Nestea in some places. These countries include Canada, Spain, Portugal, Romania, Andorra, Bulgaria, and Serbia.

New and Natural Nestea

In 2019, Nestea changed its products to be more natural. Nestlé launched a new recipe for Nestea. This new recipe does not have artificial colors or flavors. It also does not use corn syrup. Plus, it is made without GMO ingredients.

The ready-to-drink iced tea now uses stevia extract for sweetness. Stevia is a natural sweetener. The tea leaves for this new recipe come from Nilgiri. This is a special region in India known for its tea.
