Niagara Bottling is a large American company. It makes bottled water and other drinks. The company is based in Diamond Bar, California. Niagara Bottling makes bottled water for many other companies. These companies then sell the water under their own brand names. This is called "private label" bottling.

Niagara Bottling has over 40 factories. These factories are located in the United States and Mexico. More than 7,000 people work for Niagara Bottling around the world. In 2017, Niagara was the biggest company making private label bottled water in North America.

How Niagara Bottling Started

Niagara Bottling began in 1963. It was founded in Irvine, California. Andrew Peykoff Sr. started the company. Today, his son, Andy Peykoff II, runs the business.

In the 1990s, Niagara started making bottled water for other companies. Since then, it has grown to serve customers all over the country. Its private label clients include big stores like Walmart and Costco. They also work with grocery stores and convenience stores. In 2017, Niagara bought part of First Quality Water & Beverage. This company was based in Pennsylvania. Niagara closed the bottling factory. However, it kept the ways to deliver water and the contracts to bottle for other brands.

Niagara Bottling Factories

Niagara Bottling has many factories. These factories are where the water is bottled. Here are some of their locations:

Arizona Factories

Niagara has a large factory in Mesa, Arizona. It is about 450,000 square feet. This factory can use 40 million gallons of water each year. The water comes from different sources. These include the Central Arizona Project and local groundwater. Another factory is in Phoenix, Arizona. This one is 252,000 square feet.

Connecticut Factory

There is a Niagara factory in Bloomfield, Connecticut. It is 400,000 square feet. This factory gets its water from the Metropolitan District Commission of Connecticut. Some people have protested this deal. They felt the water should not be sold without public discussion.

Florida Factories

Niagara has a factory in Middleburg, Florida. It is just outside of Jacksonville, Florida. This factory opened in 2022.

Indiana Factories

In 2018, Niagara started building a factory in Jeffersonville, Indiana. It cost $56 million and is 469,000 square feet. Niagara also has a factory in Plainfield, Indiana. In 2018, they spent $62 million to make this factory bigger.

Mississippi Factory

A Niagara factory opened in Byhalia, Mississippi in 2018. It is located near Memphis, Tennessee.

Missouri Factory

In 2019, Niagara built a factory in Kansas City, Missouri. They spent $68 million on this 420,000 square foot factory. It created 50 new jobs in the area.

New Mexico Factory

A Niagara bottling plant opened in Los Lunas, New Mexico in 2016. In 2021, Niagara asked for more water to make the plant bigger. This caused protests from local people. The request was taken back. However, it was asked for again in 2022, leading to more opposition.

North Carolina Factory

Niagara announced a factory in Mooresville, North Carolina in 2011. They received a grant of $200,000 for this project.

Pennsylvania Factories

In 2018, Niagara planned to build a $64 million factory. This factory is in Findlay Township, Pennsylvania, near Pittsburgh. Niagara Bottling is also building a very large factory. It is 1,190,000 square feet. This factory is in Humboldt Industrial Park in Hazle Township. It is expected to be ready in Spring 2022. It will serve customers in Pennsylvania and the northeast U.S.

South Carolina Factory

In February 2020, Niagara announced plans for a $70 million factory. It is in the Pee Dee Touchstone Energy Commerce Park. This is northeast of Florence, South Carolina. The factory started working by early 2021.

Texas Factory

In 2019, Niagara added more equipment to its factory in Seguin, Texas. This helped them make more products.

Virginia Factory

In 2017, Niagara finished building a large factory and warehouse. It is in Chesterfield County, Virginia. This building is 557,000 square feet. It uses 900,000 gallons of water each day.

Washington Factory

A 311,000-square-foot bottling factory opened in Frederickson, Washington in 2014.
