Nickelodeon Schweiz (also known as Nick Schweiz since June 28, 2017) is a TV channel in Switzerland made just for kids! It shows lots of fun cartoons and shows in German. To watch it, you usually need a special TV package because it's a pay TV channel.

About Nick Schweiz

What is Nick Schweiz?

Nick Schweiz is a popular TV channel for children and teenagers in Switzerland. It broadcasts in German. The channel is part of the big ViacomCBS company. It's like a special version of Nickelodeon just for Switzerland.

History of the Channel

The Nick Schweiz TV channel officially started on April 1, 2009. When it first launched, it shared its broadcast time with another channel called VIVA Switzerland. This means they would show Nick Schweiz for part of the day and VIVA Switzerland for the rest.

Before it became its own channel, Nickelodeon shows were actually part of a special block on a Swiss channel called TF. This happened from 1998 to 2003. So, kids in Switzerland could watch Nickelodeon shows even before the full channel existed!

In March 2010, Nick Schweiz got a fresh new look with a rebranding. Later, from January 1, 2011, until September 30, 2014, Nick Schweiz shared its time with Comedy Central.
