Oleyres was a small town in Switzerland, located in the Vaud area. It used to be its own municipality but joined the town of Avenches on July 1, 2011.

Oleyres is quite old! It was first mentioned in writings way back between 1101 and 1150. Back then, it was called de Holeriis.
Later, between 1151 and 1200, its name changed slightly to de Oleres.
