Paddington Bear is a fun animated TV show from 1989-1990. It was made in both the United States and the United Kingdom. This show was the second time the famous Paddington Bear books were brought to TV. The first TV series about Paddington was from 1976 to 1980.
The show was created by Hanna-Barbera and Central Independent Television. In this version, a new character was added: an American boy named David. He is the cousin of Jonathan and Judy Brown. David arrives in London on the same day as Paddington. The series was part of a TV block called The Funtastic World of Hanna-Barbera in 1989. It had 13 episodes.
Meet Paddington and Friends
Paddington Bear lives with the kind Brown family. Their American cousin, David Russell, also lives with them. The show also features Mrs. Bird, who is their helpful housekeeper. Mr. Gruber owns an antique shop and is a good friend to Paddington. There is also their grumpy next-door neighbor, Mr. Curry.

A Special Episode (1993)
One special TV episode aired on BBC in 1993. This special was different from the main series. It was more like the 1976 Paddington show. It had a narrator, and the characters did not have individual voices. This special was made by Living Doll Productions and Abbey Broadcast Communications.
