Parriott Mesa is a cool, flat-topped mountain in Utah, United States. It stands tall at 6,155 feet (about 1,876 meters) above sea level. You can find it in Grand County, near a place called Castle Valley, Utah. It's also close to the city of Moab, which is famous for its amazing outdoor adventures.
A "mesa" is like a natural table. It has a flat top and steep sides. Parriott Mesa is made of strong Sandstone. It's pretty thin, about 0.4 miles (0.6 km) wide and 1.5 miles (2.4 km) long. Its sides are very steep, like walls, reaching up to 400 feet (122 meters) high! Rainwater that falls on the mesa flows down into the Colorado River, which is only about a mile away.

How Parriott Mesa Got Its Name
Parriott Mesa is named after a person named Dale M. Parriott. He lived from 1885 to 1958. Dale Parriott was one of the first people to settle in the Moab area. He even owned a ranch house in Castle Valley. Naming natural landmarks after important local figures is a common way to remember their contributions.
What's the Weather Like at Parriott Mesa?
The best times to visit Parriott Mesa are in the spring and fall. During these seasons, the weather is usually just right. High temperatures are often between 60 to 80 °F (15 to 27 °C). Lows are cooler, from 30 to 50 °F (-1 to 10 °C).
