Paz Vega (born January 2, 1976) is a famous Spanish actress and filmmaker. Her full name is María de la Paz Campos Trigo. She became well-known for her role in the TV comedy series 7 vidas (which means 7 Lives).
Paz Vega has starred in many movies, both in Spain and internationally. Some of her popular films include Spanglish, 10 Items or Less, and Rambo: Last Blood. She has also worked on TV shows and even directed her first movie recently.

Growing Up in Spain
Paz Vega was born in Seville, a beautiful city in Spain, in 1976. Her mother was a homemaker, and her father used to be a bullfighter. Paz also has a younger sister who is a talented flamenco dancer.
Paz Vega chose her stage name, Paz Vega, from her grandmother. When she was 16, she saw a play called La casa de Bernarda Alba. This play inspired her to become an actress. After finishing school, she studied acting for two years. Then, she moved to Madrid to start her acting career.
Starting Her Acting Journey

Paz Vega began her acting career on Spanish television. Her first TV show was My Father Is So Nice (Menudo es mi padre) in 1997. She also appeared in other series like More Than Friends (Más que amigos) and Companions (Compañeros).
In 1999, she made her first movie, Zapping. That same year, she got a small part in another film called I Will Survive.
Becoming Famous on TV
Paz Vega became very popular with the TV series 7 Lives (7 Vidas). This show was a Spanish comedy, much like the American show Friends. Paz played a character named Laura, a cheerful girl from Andalusia. The show was a big hit in Spain.
Movies and International Roles
In 2001, Paz Vega starred in the film ... and Lucia. This movie helped her reach a wider audience. However, she became known to many American viewers when she appeared in the 2004 film Spanglish. In this movie, she acted alongside Adam Sandler.
Later, in 2006, she worked with the famous American actor Morgan Freeman in the movie 10 Items or Less. She also appeared in other international films like The Spirit and Rambo: Last Blood with Sylvester Stallone.
Besides acting, Paz Vega has also worked as a model. She even became the face for L'Oreal Spain in 2011. In 2018, she showed off her cooking skills on the Spanish reality show MasterChef Celebrity.
More recently, in 2023, Paz Vega announced that she would be directing her first movie, called Rita. This film is set in Seville in the 1980s.

Paz Vega is married to Orson Salazar, who is from Venezuela. They got married in 2002. They have three children together: a son born in 2007, a daughter born in 2009, and another son born in 2010.
