Pierre Gagnaire (born April 9, 1950) is a very famous French chef. He is the owner and head chef of his own restaurant, also called Pierre Gagnaire, in Paris, France. Chef Gagnaire is known for being a very creative chef. He is a leader in the "fusion cuisine" movement. This means he likes to mix different food styles and flavors together.

He started his cooking career in a city called St. Etienne. There, he earned three top awards called Michelin Stars. Chef Gagnaire changed traditional French cooking. He did this by putting together surprising flavors, textures, and ingredients. On his website, he says he wants his restaurant to look to the future. But he also wants it to respect the cooking traditions of the past.

In December 2009, Chef Gagnaire opened his first restaurant in the United States. It was called Twist and was located in Las Vegas. This restaurant received a top award, the Forbes Five-Star Award. However, Twist has since closed.

Pierre Gagnaire has appeared on the Japanese TV show Iron Chef. This show features cooking battles between chefs. He represented France in the 1995 Iron Chef World Cup in Tokyo. Other famous chefs from Italy, Hong Kong, and Japan also competed. He also appeared in a special "France Battle" episode. In this episode, he competed against another Iron Chef, Hiroyuki Sakai.
