Princess Carolina Augusta (born April 26, 1822 – died December 6, 1869) was a royal from the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies. She was the granddaughter of Ferdinand I of the Two Sicilies, who was a king. After she married, she became a daughter-in-law of King Louis Philippe I of the French. This also made her a Princess of Orléans.

Marriage and Family Life
A Royal Wedding in Naples
On November 15, 1844, Princess Carolina Augusta married Prince Henri of Orléans. Their wedding took place in Naples. After her marriage, she continued to be known by her royal title, Royal Highness.

Carolina Augusta and Prince Henri had several children. Sadly, many of them did not live long.
- Louis d'Orléans, Prince of Condé (born November 15, 1845 – died May 24, 1866).
- Henri Léopold Philippe Marie d'Orléans, Duke of Guise (born September 11, 1847 – died October 10, 1847).
- A daughter who was stillborn in 1849.

Later Years and Legacy
Life in Exile
Carolina Augusta was very sad after her eldest son, Louis, passed away. She later died in 1869 in Twickenham, England, where she was living in exile. Her death was caused by an illness called tuberculosis.
A Lasting Love
Carolina Augusta and her husband, Henri, had a very loving marriage. After she died, Henri chose not to marry again. He remained a widower until his own death in 1897. Carolina Augusta was buried in France at the Royal Chapel of Dreux.
