Raymond is a small city in southwest Kandiyohi County, Minnesota, United States. In 2020, about 782 people lived there.
Raymond High School joined with schools from Clara City and Maynard in the late 1980s. This created a new school district called MACCRAY.

History of Raymond
Raymond was first planned out in 1887. It was named after Raymond Spicer, whose father was one of the first people to settle in the area. A post office has been open in Raymond since 1889.
On March 30, 2023, a BNSF freight train had an accident near downtown Raymond. About 40 train cars, including 14 carrying ethanol, went off the tracks.
Geography and Location
Raymond is located entirely on land. It covers an area of about 0.88 square miles (2.29 square kilometers).
Minnesota State Highway 23 is an important road that runs through the community.
