Revere is a small city located in Clark County, Missouri, in the United States. In 2020, about 76 people lived there. It is part of a larger area that includes Fort Madison and Keokuk in Iowa.

Where is Revere Located?
Revere is in the northern part of Clark County. It is only three miles from the border between Missouri and Iowa. The Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railroad tracks run right through the city.
The city covers a total area of about 0.19 square miles (0.48 square kilometers). All of this area is land.
A Look at Revere's History
How Revere Began
Revere was founded on October 22, 1887. The Santa Fe Railroad created the city. It was likely named after Paul Revere, a famous figure from American history.
Before the year 1900, Revere was a busy stop for the railroad. In 1898, Revere officially became a city in Missouri.
The Revere Weekly Current Newspaper
In 1898, a man named J. H. Talbott started a weekly newspaper in Revere. It was called the Revere Weekly Current. This newspaper had five pages. It shared news from around the world and local stories. It also included advertisements, train schedules, and information about local markets. The newspaper stopped publishing on July 18, 1901, when Mr. Talbott left to study law.
Ar-Del Park: A Special Memorial
Ar-Del Park was dedicated on May 30, 1946. It is a special park that honors two young men from Revere. Their names were John Arnold Wallace and Delmar Brown. They died serving their country during World War II. The park is located where the Revere Methodist Church used to be. Inside the park, there is a large rock with a plaque. This plaque honors all the veterans from Clark County.
The Revere Post Office
In 2011, the United States Postal Service thought about closing the Revere post office. This was part of a plan to change post offices across the country. But in 2012, they decided not to close it. Instead, they found a new way to keep smaller post offices open.

Getting Around Revere
The Southwest Chief train, run by Amtrak, goes through Revere. This train travels between Los Angeles and Chicago. It uses the BNSF tracks. However, the train does not stop in Revere. The closest train station is in Fort Madison. This station is about 33 miles northeast of Revere.
Education in Revere
Revere High School's Journey
Revere High School started in 1923 with only one student, Lula Riley. In 1925, a new building was opened for all grades, from kindergarten to 12th grade. By 1988, only two students graduated from the high school.
The number of students kept getting smaller. The last high school class graduated in 2002 with five students. After that, the building was used only for students in kindergarten through 8th grade. Students in grades 9-12 went to Clark County R-1 high school in Kahoka.
In April 2012, people voted to close the Revere school. It joined the Clark County R-1 school district on July 1, 2012.
Sports Achievements
Even though Revere High School had very few students, their sports teams were successful. The school's teams were called the purple and white Bulldogs. They had four teams that qualified for state playoffs. The baseball teams made it to the state playoffs in 1977, 1981, and 1982. The girls' basketball team reached the state playoffs in 1997.
