Royston is a vibrant area in the city of Glasgow, Scotland. It was once known as The Garngad and some people with family ties to the area still use that name. Royston is known for its diverse community, especially its large population of people with Irish Catholic backgrounds. They even have an annual St Patrick's Day Festival!

Royston is located north of the River Clyde and north-east of the main Glasgow city centre. Its borders are mostly defined by roads and railway lines.
Royston's Neighbors
- To the west, across the A803 road, are Sighthill and Townhead.
- To the north, past the old St Rollox railway works, is Springburn.
- To the east, beyond the railway line, you'll find Germiston and the Blochairn industrial area.
- To the south, across the M8 motorway, is Dennistoun.
You can easily walk between these areas using special footpaths over the roads. There used to be train stations nearby, but now there are none serving Royston directly.

Not much of the very old Roystonhill remains today. Many streets have changed due to new building projects.
