Sévery was once a small town, also known as a municipality, in the canton of Vaud in Switzerland. It was located in the Morges area. On July 1, 2021, Sévery joined with several other nearby towns like Apples and Cottens to form a new, larger municipality called Hautemorges.

History of Sévery
Sévery has a long history! It was first written about in the year 979. Back then, its name was spelled Siuiriaco. Later, in 1453, it was mentioned again, but this time as Syuiriez.
Geography of Sévery
Sévery covers an area of about 2.38 square kilometers (which is about 0.92 square miles). A large part of this land, about 84.5%, is used for farming. This means there are many fields for growing crops and pastures for animals.
About 10.5% of Sévery's land is covered by forests. The remaining 5.9% is where buildings and roads are located. Sévery used to be part of the Cossonay District. However, in 2006, it became part of the new Morges District.
