The Samsung Galaxy (also known as SΛMSUNG Galaxy) is a popular line of electronic devices made by Samsung Electronics. This series includes many different gadgets. You can find smartphones, tablets, smartwatches, earbuds, and even laptops in the Galaxy family.
Most Samsung Galaxy devices use the Android operating system. They also have a special user interface called One UI. This makes them easy to use. Some Galaxy devices, like the Samsung Galaxy TabPro S, even run on Windows 10. In 2020, Samsung also added Chromebook laptops to the Galaxy brand.

What is the Samsung Galaxy Series?
The Samsung Galaxy series is a huge collection of electronic devices. They are all designed and sold by Samsung Electronics. The first Galaxy device came out in 2009. Since then, the brand has grown a lot.
Types of Galaxy Devices
The Galaxy family has many different types of devices. Here are some of the main ones:
- Samsung Galaxy Z series: These are cool phones that can fold! They are Samsung's top-end foldable devices.
- Samsung Galaxy S series: These are the flagship phones. They have the newest and best features.

Samsung Galaxy S Series
The Galaxy S series offers Samsung's top-tier smartphones. They always have the latest technology. The newest models are the Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra. These came out in January 2024.
Samsung Galaxy A Series
The Galaxy A series includes Android smartphones that are mid-range to high-end. They are similar to the Galaxy S series but usually have slightly lower features. The latest models are the Galaxy A35 and Galaxy A55.
Samsung Galaxy M Series
The Galaxy M series phones are mostly sold online. They are mid-range smartphones. This series took over from the older Galaxy J and Galaxy On series.

Smartwatches
Samsung first released a smartwatch called the Samsung Galaxy Gear in 2013. Later, Samsung smartwatches were called Samsung Gear. Now, they are part of the Samsung Galaxy Watch series. These watches can do many things, like track your fitness and show notifications.
Activity Trackers
Samsung also makes activity trackers. The Samsung Galaxy Fit is a line of trackers that help you monitor your daily activities. The first one came out in 2019.

The Galaxy brand also includes laptops. The Samsung Galaxy Book series runs on Microsoft Windows. The Galaxy Chromebook line uses ChromeOS. These devices help you work and learn on the go.

Galaxy Software

Samsung has tools to help your Galaxy devices work together. Samsung Flow lets you sync your phone with a computer. You can see notifications, reply to messages, and share files. It was first released in 2016. Microsoft's Phone Link also helps Galaxy phones connect with computers.
Another cool feature is Multi Control. It lets you control your Galaxy phone using your Galaxy Book keyboard and mouse. You can even drag and drop files between them! Device Control is a quick way to manage your smart home devices.
"Over the Horizon" Song
"Over the Horizon" is the special sound for Samsung Galaxy phones. It first appeared in 2011 on the Samsung Galaxy S II. This tune is the default ringtone. You also hear a short part of it when your phone turns on or off.
The basic tune has six notes and hasn't changed. But Samsung often releases new versions of the song in different music styles. Famous artists like Quincy Jones, Icona Pop, and Suga from BTS have even made their own versions!
