Todd Eric Gaither, born on September 6, 1969, is a rapper from Brooklyn, New York City. He is best known by his stage name, Sauce Money. He started his music career in the 1990s and worked closely with famous rapper Jay-Z when Jay-Z was first starting out. Sauce Money also appeared on Big Daddy Kane's album Daddy's Home. He was featured on the song "Show N' Prove" alongside other artists like Scoob Lover, Jay-Z, Shyheim the Rugged Child, and Ol' Dirty Bastard from the Wu-Tang Clan.

Music Career

Early Collaborations

Sauce Money was featured on several of Jay-Z's early albums. He appeared on Jay-Z's first album, Reasonable Doubt, on a song called "Bring It On". This song was produced by DJ Premier. He also appeared on Jay-Z's second album, In My Lifetime, Vol. 1, on the track "Face Off". Later, he was on Jay-Z's third album, Vol. 2... Hard Knock Life, in a song called "Reservoir Dogs". For this song, he collaborated with other groups like The LOX and Beanie Sigel.

Songwriting and Solo Work

Beyond rapping, Sauce Money also helped write songs for other artists. He is credited as a co-writer for the popular song "I'll Be Missing You" by Puff Daddy.

In 2000, Sauce Money released his own first album, titled Middle Finger U. This album was released through Priority Records and EMI. It featured two guest artists: Jay-Z on the song "Pregame" and Puff Daddy on "Do You See". One track on the album was also produced by DJ Premier. From this album, he released a single called "For My Hustlaz".

Later Appearances

Sauce Money continued to make music appearances in the 2000s. In 2004, he was featured on a single called "Easy". This song was from the album Magic City by New Zealand DJ and producer P-Money. Two years later, in 2006, Sauce Money performed live at Jay-Z's "I Declare War" concert. He joined Jay-Z on stage to perform their song "Reservoir Dogs".

In 2008, Sauce Money released a new single called "Listen 2 Me". This song used a sample from the Oompa-Loompas in the 1971 movie Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory. Fans could listen to this song on Sauce Money's MySpace page.

Sauce Money often appears on mixtapes, which are collections of songs, especially those put together by DJ Kay Slay. He has been part of many "posse cuts," which are songs featuring many different rappers.
