Schiers is a village in Switzerland. It is located in the Prättigau valley. Schiers is also a municipality in the Graubünden canton.
A very special bridge is found here. It is called the Salginatobel Bridge. This was the first concrete girder bridge ever built. A famous engineer named Robert Maillart designed it. It was finished in 1930. In 1991, it became the first concrete bridge to be named an International Historic Civil Engineering Landmark. This is a very important award for bridges!

The highest point in Schiers is a mountain called Drusenfluh. It stands at 2,828 meters (9,278 feet) tall. Schiers is in the lower part of the Prättigau valley. It is an important center for the middle and outer parts of the valley. The municipality includes the main village of Schiers. It also has smaller settlements like Tersier, Lunden, and Schuders.

Schiers has its own railway station. It is called Schiers. This station is on the Landquart–Davos Platz railway line. You can take trains from here to many places. These include Disentis/Mustér, Scuol-Tarasp, Landquart, St. Moritz, and Davos Platz.
