Seltisberg is a small town, also called a municipality, located in Switzerland. It's part of the Liestal district in the canton of Basel-Landschaft.

History of Seltisberg
Seltisberg is quite old! The first time it was ever written about was in the year 1194. Back then, it was called Selboldisberch.
Geography and Landscape
Seltisberg covers an area of about 3.57 square kilometers (which is about 1.38 square miles). A big part of this area, almost half (45.7%), is used for farming. Another large part, 37%, is covered by forests. The rest of the land, about 16%, has buildings and roads.
The town is built on a high, flat area called a plateau. This plateau is located in the Jura Mountains, between two valleys: the Hinteren Frenken valley and the Oris valley.

Every town has a special symbol called a coat of arms. Seltisberg's coat of arms is split into two parts. The top part is red and shows a white rose with a gold center and green leaves. The bottom part is plain white.
