Senad Lulić, born on January 18, 1986, is a former professional footballer from Bosnia. He played as a midfielder.
Senad began his football journey at Chur 97. Later, he joined Bellinzona in 2006. Two years after that, he moved to Grasshoppers. In 2010, he was transferred to Young Boys. The next year, he made a big move to Lazio in Italy.
Lulić also played for his country, Bosnia and Herzegovina. He started playing for them in 2008 and played over 50 games until 2017. He was part of the team that went to their first major tournament, the 2014 FIFA World Cup. Senad Lulić officially retired from football on June 1, 2022.

Senad Lulić's Club Career
Starting His Football Journey
Senad Lulić's family moved to Switzerland because of the Bosnian War. There, he started playing football at a local club called Chur 97. He joined their youth team in 1998. He played his first professional game in 2003 when he was 17 years old.
In the summer of 2006, Lulić joined Bellinzona. He then signed with Grasshoppers in May 2008. In May 2010, he moved to Young Boys.
Playing for Lazio
In June 2011, Lulić moved to the Italian team Lazio. He played his first official game for Lazio in a UEFA Europa League match on August 18. A few weeks later, he played his first league game against Milan. On October 23, he scored his first goal for Lazio in a win against Bologna.
Senad won his first trophy with Lazio on May 26, 2013. They beat their city rivals Roma in the Coppa Italia final. Lulić scored the only goal of that important game in the 71st minute.
He played his 100th game for Lazio on November 28. In January 2016, he signed a new four-year contract with the club. He reached his 200th game for the team on October 16.
In July 2017, Lulić became the team's captain. He won his first title as captain on August 13, when Lazio beat Juventus in the 2017 Supercoppa Italiana.
On November 29, 2018, Lulić played his 294th game for Lazio. This made him one of the top 10 players with the most appearances for the club. He played his 300th game for the team and scored a goal on December 26.
On December 7, 2019, he played his 343rd match for Lazio. This meant he had played more games than Aldo Puccinelli, becoming the club's 5th all-time appearance maker. Lulić played in the UEFA Champions League for the first time on February 23, 2021, against Bayern Munich.
He announced his retirement from football on June 1, 2022.
Senad Lulić's International Career
In May 2008, Lulić was called up to play for the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team for the first time. He made his debut in a friendly game against Azerbaijan on June 1.
On June 7, 2013, Lulić scored his first goal for his country. This happened during a 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifier match against Latvia.
In June 2014, Lulić was chosen to be part of Bosnia and Herzegovina's team for the 2014 FIFA World Cup. This was the first time his country had ever qualified for such a big tournament. He played his first World Cup game on June 15 against Argentina.
Lulić was one of the best players at setting up goals during the UEFA Euro 2016 qualifying matches. He had six assists, which was the most, along with Arkadiusz Milik and Vladimír Weiss.
He decided to retire from playing for his country on December 29, 2017.
