Soekarno–Hatta International Airport (which in Indonesian is Bandar Udara Internasional Soekarno–Hatta), often called SHIA, is a very important airport in Indonesia. It is one of the main airports for the Greater Jakarta area. This airport handles many international flights, connecting Indonesia to the rest of the world. It is named after Indonesia's first President, Soekarno, and first Vice President, Mohammad Hatta.

Soekarno–Hatta International Airport is located in Tangerang, Banten, near Jakarta. It opened in 1985 and has grown a lot since then. The airport is owned by the Government of Indonesia. It is managed by a company called PT Angkasa Pura II.
This airport is a major hub for several airlines. A hub is like a central station where many flights connect. Some of the airlines that use it as a main base include Batik Air, Garuda Indonesia, and Lion Air.
