This article is about the music released by Soundgarden, an American rock band. This list includes their six studio albums, one live album, four compilation albums, seven extended plays (EPs), twenty-four singles, and eighteen music videos.

Soundgarden was formed in 1984. The first members were singer Chris Cornell, guitarist Kim Thayil, and bassist Hiro Yamamoto. The band first signed with an independent record label called Sub Pop. They released their first EP, Screaming Life, in 1987. Another EP, Fopp, came out in 1988.

Later in 1988, Soundgarden signed with SST Records. They released their first full album, Ultramega OK, that year. After that, they signed with A&M Records. This made them the first "grunge" band to sign with a major record label. In 1989, they released Louder Than Love, their first album with A&M.

In 1990, a new bass player, Ben Shepherd, joined the band. They released Badmotorfinger in 1991. This album made the band much more popular. Soundgarden became famous as part of the growing music scene in Seattle.

The band's next album was a huge success. Superunknown came out in 1994. It went straight to number one on the Billboard 200 chart. This album also had very popular songs like "Spoonman" and "Black Hole Sun". In 1996, Soundgarden released their fifth studio album, Down on the Upside. It was successful, but it didn't sell as much as Superunknown.

In 1997, the band decided to break up. They could not agree on their music's direction anymore. The band members then worked on other music projects for over ten years. Soundgarden got back together in 2010. Two years later, they released their sixth studio album, King Animal.
