South Ripley is a growing area in Queensland, Australia. It is a suburb of Ipswich. South Ripley is part of a big new community called Ecco Ripley. In 2021, about 4,069 people lived here.

Where is South Ripley?
South Ripley is a valley. A creek called Bundamba Creek runs through it. This creek flows from north to south. There is also a place called Bundamba Lagoon. You can find it in the southeastern part of the area.
A Look Back in Time
South Ripley is on the traditional land of the Yugarabul people. They are Indigenous Australian people. They have lived in the Brisbane area for a very long time.
A school called Bundamba Upper State School opened here. That was on February 2, 1874. Later, in 1909, its name changed to Ripley State School. This school closed in 1930. Not enough students were attending it then.
New schools opened in South Ripley on January 1, 2020. These are Ripley Valley State School and Ripley Valley State Secondary College.

Ripley Valley State School
This is a government primary school. It teaches students from Prep to Year 6. Both boys and girls go to this school. It is located at 110 Botany Drive. In 2020, its first year, it had 336 students. There were 26 teachers helping them learn.
Ripley Valley State Secondary College
This is a government high school. It teaches students from Year 7 to Year 12. It is also for both boys and girls. You can find it at the corner of Providence Parade and Parkway Avenue. In 2020, its first year, it had 154 students. These students were in Years 7 and 8. There were 15 teachers at the school.
