St. Anne is a small village located in Kankakee County, Illinois, United States. In 2020, about 1,161 people lived there. It's part of the larger Kankakee area.
A French-Canadian Catholic priest named Charles Chiniquy founded St. Anne in 1851. He was a friend of Abraham Lincoln, who later became the 16th U.S. President. Charles Chiniquy later became a Presbyterian minister and worked to promote the temperance movement.
