Suvi Maria Riggs (born Suvi Maria Koponen on March 26, 1988) is a Finnish fashion model. She became famous after winning a TV show called Mallikoulu in Finland in 2005. Mallikoulu means Model School in English.
Suvi has worked for many famous fashion designers. These include Anna Sui, Vera Wang, Marc Jacobs, and Calvin Klein. She has also appeared in top fashion magazines. These include Vogue in France and America. She even made the cover of Vogue Portugal in 2008.

Becoming a Top Model
In 2005, Suvi Koponen won the Mallikoulu TV contest. Winning this show helped her get a modeling contract. She signed with Women Model Management, a big international agency. This agency has offices in Milan, Paris, and New York.
First Steps on the Runway
Suvi first walked in fashion shows in late 2006. But she really became known in the next season. She walked only for Prada and Miu Miu, two very famous brands. A modeling expert named Paul Rowland helped her. He even created a special hairstyle for her. He told Miuccia Prada, "I have got a new star for you."

New York Magazine listed Suvi as one of the "Top Ten Models to Watch" in August 2007. British Vogue also named her a "Head Girl" to watch out for.
