Suvigya Sharma (born 28 July 1983) is a famous Indian artist, painter, and fashion designer. He is known for his amazing miniature paintings, which are tiny and very detailed artworks. He also creates Tanjore paintings, which use gold leaf, and fresco work, which are paintings done on wet plaster walls.

Suvigya Sharma has helped restore old artworks in important places. For example, he worked on frescoes at the City Palace, Jaipur, and the Singapore Art Museum. In 2016, his art was shown at the Make in India event in Mumbai. There, he even gave a live show, teaching people how he creates his miniature paintings.

Early Life and Learning

Suvigya Sharma was born on July 28, 1983, in Jaipur, a city in Rajasthan, India. His father, R.K. Sharma, was also an artist. Suvigya started painting when he was only seven years old! He went to school in Jaipur and later studied in Kolkata. He also learned about foreign trade. In an interview, he shared that he used to teach dance when he was a teenager.

His Art Career

Suvigya has worked on many different art projects across India. He has restored frescoes in Jaipur and other places like old mansions called Havelis in Udaipur and Kishangarh. He also worked on the gold leafing (adding thin sheets of gold) at the Jama Masjid and parts of the Jaipur City Palace. He has even worked on bungalows, religious shrines called Dargahs, and other old buildings.

Many famous people and families have asked Suvigya to paint for them. Some of his clients include cricket star Sachin Tendulkar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, singer Justin Bieber, and actors like Priyanka Chopra and Kangana Ranaut. He has also painted for important world leaders like Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, and the Dalai Lama.

Suvigya's artworks are often shown to the public by famous personalities. These include actors Kangana Ranaut and Rani Mukherji, chef Vikas Khanna, and Sachin Tendulkar. Many of his special artworks include real 24-carat gold, making them very valuable.

His art has been displayed in many galleries and museums. He even designed the cover for chef Vikas Khanna's cookbook, Utsav, which was worth a lot of money.

In 2016, Suvigya gave Sachin Tendulkar a special handmade gift. It was a custom-made bat with gold leaf and gold designs, and it had a 24-carat gold handle.

In 2017, Suvigya created a life-size oil painting of Justin Bieber. He gave it to him when Justin was in Mumbai for his concert. He also painted a very realistic portrait of Prime Minister Narendra Modi that same year.

More recently, in 2021, Suvigya started creating digital artworks called Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs). His NFT collection features wildlife, like polar bears and rhinoceroses, shown in detailed 3D backgrounds.

Working with Make in India

In February 2016, Suvigya Sharma was asked to show his art for the Indian government's Make in India program. This program encourages people to make things in India. Suvigya showed his work and even gave a live demonstration of how he creates his miniature paintings.

Helping Others

In June 2016, Suvigya Sharma took part in an art exhibition to raise money for the Nargis Dutt Cancer Foundation. He joined other artists in Mumbai to help this important cause.

Suvigya is married to Charu, and they have a son named Abhigya.

Special Recognition

In 2017, Suvigya was named the Goodwill Ambassador of Rajasthan by the Smile Foundation. This means he helps represent Rajasthan and promote good causes.

In 2021, the International Delphic Council made him an Honorary Member of their Advisory Board in Maharashtra. This group works to promote art and culture. In 2023, the Government of Rajasthan included him in their list of 'Prominent Rajasthanis' for his achievements.
