Syosset is about 32 miles (51 km) east of Midtown Manhattan in New York City. It is easy to get to New York City from Syosset by train using the LIRR or by car on the Long Island Expressway.
Syosset shares its borders with several other communities. To the north are Oyster Bay and Laurel Hollow. To the east is Woodbury. To the south, you'll find Plainview and Hicksville. Finally, to the west are Jericho and Muttontown.
