Taiwan Strait facts for kids
The Taiwan Strait is a narrow stretch of water. It separates mainland China from the island of Taiwan. This strait is about 180 kilometers (112 miles) wide. It is a part of the larger South China Sea. To its northeast, it connects to the East China Sea. The narrowest point of the strait is 131 kilometers (81 miles) wide.

What is the Taiwan Strait?
