Tamim Iqbal Khan (born March 20, 1989), known as Tamim Iqbal, is a former international cricketer and commentator from Chittagong, Bangladesh. He led the national team in ODI matches from 2020 to 2023. He was the first Bangladeshi cricketer to score a century in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup. This happened in the 2016 tournament, where he scored 103 runs without being out. This was the highest score by a Bangladeshi player in any T20 World Cup.

Tamim played his first ODI match in 2007. He then played his first Test match the next year. He scored his first century against the Ireland team. He is the only Bangladeshi batsman to score a century against the England cricket team at Lord's Stadium. He was also the vice-captain of the national team from December 2010 to September 2011. Tamim scored over 15,000 runs in his international career. This is the highest total for any Bangladeshi batsman so far. He also holds the record for the most centuries by a Bangladeshi player in international matches, with 25 centuries across all types of cricket.

In 2011, Tamim was named one of Wisden Cricketers' Almanack's four Cricketers of the Year. He was also named Wisden's Test Player of the Year. He was only the second Bangladeshi player to receive this honor. He was the top run-scorer in the 2016 T20 World Cup, with 295 runs. Tamim is the only Bangladeshi cricketer to score centuries in all three forms of the game: Test, ODI, and T20I. He is also the only player to score four half-centuries in a row in the Asia Cup. He holds the record for scoring at least two centuries three times in a 3-match ODI series. He has scored the most hundreds in One Day International cricket for Bangladesh.

Tamim announced his retirement from Twenty20 International cricket in July 2022. On July 6, 2023, he announced his retirement from all international cricket. However, the very next day, he changed his mind. This happened after a meeting with the then BCB president Nazmul Hassan, the former Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, and former Bangladesh captain Mashrafe Mortaza. He decided to take a break instead of retiring completely.

Tamim stepped down as the ODI captain on August 3, 2023. This was because of a long-term back injury that kept him out of the Asia Cup. He started a new role as an international commentator in December 2023. This was during the second Test match between Bangladesh and New Zealand.

On January 10, 2025, Tamim officially announced his retirement from international cricket.
