The Fairly OddParents: Breakin' Da Rules is a fun video game based on the popular Nickelodeon cartoon, The Fairly OddParents. It came out in North America in 2003. You could play it on many different game systems like the Game Boy Advance, GameCube, PlayStation 2, Xbox, and Windows computers. Blitz Games created the game, and THQ published it.
A follow-up game, The Fairly OddParents: Shadow Showdown, was later released for the GameCube, Game Boy Advance, and PlayStation 2.
Game Story: What Happens?
In Breakin' Da Rules, Timmy Turner's parents go on vacation. They leave him with his mean babysitter, Vicky. Timmy tries to make a wish, but his fairy godparents, Cosmo and Wanda, stop him. They say it's against "Da Rules," which is their big rulebook.
Timmy gets upset and wishes he didn't have to follow any rules. Because of this wish, Cosmo accidentally destroys "Da Rules" book! Vicky then finds the broken book. She wishes that Timmy was still sleeping, and since she has a fairy item, her wish comes true.
Timmy, Cosmo, and Wanda are then called to Fairy Court. They are accused of destroying the important rulebook. Jorgen gives them 49 and a half hours to find all the missing pages. Timmy must go through ten levels to collect the pages. He needs to do this before Vicky's wishes cause too much trouble. By the end of the game, everything is back to normal, and "Da Rules" is complete again.
Different Stories for Different Games
The computer version of the game has a slightly different story. In this version, Juandissimo Magnifico tricks Timmy. He makes Timmy wish for the book to be destroyed. This way, Cosmo and Wanda would get into trouble instead. This version also shows Vicky and Tootie's mother, named Nicky, when she was Timmy's age. Timmy first thinks she is Tootie, but she looks like a young Vicky.
In the Game Boy Advance version, a character called Anti-Cosmo tries to steal the book. Vicky is defeated at the very end to bring peace back to the fairy world.
