The Story of Tom and Jerry's Nutcracker Adventure
Jerry and his nephew Tuffy are watching a Christmas ballet. This happens in New York City. At the same time, a group of cats sings a song. Tom is with them. They are singing for the Cat King. They are in an alley near the Empire State Building.
Jerry goes onto the empty stage. Magic starts to happen all around him. Toys come to life! There's a pony named Nelly. A pixie named Paulie also wakes up. The Ballerina from the music box comes alive too.
A Magical Feast and a Cat Attack
The stage changes into a beautiful winter wonderland. All the toys enjoy a big dinner feast. But Tom and the other cats ruin the party. They trap the toys. Jerry, Paulie, and Nelly try to stop them. But they are shot out of a cannon!
Tom is the Captain of the Cat Guards. He traps the Ballerina in a cage. Then he takes her to the Cat King. The King tries to make her dance, but she won't. Later, Tom is told to gather more cats. They need to stop Jerry.
Tuffy's Warning and a Journey to the Toy Maker
Meanwhile, Tuffy gives the Ballerina a string. It has a ring of keys on it. Then Tuffy goes to warn Jerry. He wants to stop the cats. Jerry, Paulie, and Nelly decide to follow a star. They are looking for an old man called the Toy Maker.
Along the way, Jerry falls through some ice. Nelly and Paulie save him. They pull him up. This makes Paulie unravel a bit. The glue holding him together melts. Tuffy finds Tom. He dresses up as an angel and a devil. He tries to convince Tom not to hurt Jerry. But Tuffy accidentally pokes Tom's eye. This makes the tower of cats fall off a cliff! Tuffy then goes to Jerry to warn him about the cats.
Escaping the Cats and a Fiery World
The cats attack Jerry and his friends. But they escape inside a tree. The group then reaches a hill. Paulie's head flies into another hole. They go into the hole. They discover a fiery world. It has lava pits and dragons. A flame fairy gives Paulie his head back. A dragon wakes up. But Jerry hypnotizes it. The dragon lifts them out of the pit.
The fiery world people launch a cannon. It blasts Jerry and his friends. They land in a house full of clocks. The mice and toys are chased by the cats again. They run into a fairground. They make it to a ridge. Jerry blows up balloons to float away safely.
Nelly's Capture and the Toy Soldier Army
One cat shoots an arrow. It pops Nelly's balloon. Tuffy grabs onto her. He unravels more of Paulie. Nelly is captured by the cats. She tells them where the others are going. The remaining three make it to the Toy Maker. He fixes Paulie. He also gives them a special key. This key can wake up an army of toy soldiers. The three friends leave with their new army. They are ready to take back the kingdom.
The Final Battle and Victory
The cats try to escape the toy soldier army. The Ballerina appears with the other toys. She leads them against the Cat King. The Cat King tells his followers to run away. Jerry starts a toy train. It knocks all the cats onto it. The train crosses the stage. It exits backstage. It hits the wall of the next building. Finally, it falls into a dumpster in New York.
The Ballerina hugs Jerry. She is very happy. She tells him she always believed in him. Suddenly, the wall next to them starts to crumble. Nelly pushes Jerry and the Ballerina out of the way. The wall crushes Nelly. But the magic brings her back to life! It also removes her string. She no longer needs it to talk. Jerry and the Ballerina dance. They get their crowns back.
