Water Flow

The main water source for Verona Lake is Tomwool Creek. This creek flows into the lake from the north, bringing water from Cariad Lake. The water then flows out of Verona Lake from the southeast. It continues as Tomwool Creek, heading east towards Burl Lakes.

The Journey to James Bay

Tomwool Creek has a long journey after leaving Verona Lake. It flows through several other waterways. These include Sarsfield Creek, Meyers Lake, and Woollings Creek. From there, the water enters the Whiteclay River. It then joins the Black River. Finally, the water flows into the Abitibi River and then the Moose River. All these rivers eventually lead to James Bay. This means Verona Lake's water travels a long way to reach the sea!
