Waipiʻo (pronounced vahy-PEE-oh) is a community located on the island of Oʻahu in Hawaii, United States. It is part of the City & County of Honolulu. In the Hawaiian tongue, wai piʻo means "curved water."

History of Waipiʻo
In ancient Hawaii, an important event called the Battle of Kīpapa Gulch is said to have happened in Waipiʻo. This battle took place at a spot known as Kīpapa Gulch.
At that time, Maʻilikākahi was the ruler, or mōʻī, of Oʻahu. The battle started in a nearby area called Waikakalaua Gulch. It then moved into Kīpapa Gulch. The attacking group was defeated. It is said that the gulch was "paved with the bodies of those who were killed."
Where is Waipiʻo Located?
Waipiʻo is found at coordinates 21°25′5″N 157°59′53″W. It is south of Mililani Town. You can reach it by using Interstate H-2 or Kamehameha Highway (Hawaii Route 99).
The town is right next to Waikele on its east side. Kamehameha Highway separates them. This highway goes south to Farrington Highway (Hawaii Route 90). From there, you can connect to Pearl City to the east or Waipahu to the west. The interchange between Hawaiʻi Interstates H-1 and H-2 is also in this area, near Waiawa. One of the neighborhoods here is called Crestview.
According to the United States Census Bureau, Waipiʻo covers a total area of about 1.2 square miles (3.2 square kilometers). All of this area is land.

Little League World Series Achievements
Waipiʻo is famous for its success in the Little League World Series. This is a big baseball tournament for young players from all over the world.
- In 2008, the Waipiʻo Little League team represented Hawaii and the United States. They won the championship! They beat Matamoros Little League from Mexico with a score of 12–3. ʻIolana Akau hit a home run early in the game. Tanner Tokunaga hit two more home runs later. Waipiʻo was the second team from the Ewa District to win this world title. The first was 'Ewa Beach in 2005.
- In 2010, the Waipiʻo Little League team won the U.S. championship. They defeated Pearland White Little League from Pearland, Texas. The score was 10-0 after just 5 innings. This win happened because of the "mercy rule." This rule means a game ends early if one team is ahead by 10 or more runs after 4 innings. However, they lost the final game of the Series. They played against Edogawa Minami Little League from Tokyo, Japan, and the score was a close 4–1.
