Chantelle Whitney Brown-Young (born July 27, 1994), known as Winnie Harlow, is a Canadian fashion model. She is also a public spokesperson for the skin condition vitiligo. She became famous in 2014. This was when she appeared on the TV show America's Next Top Model.
In 2018, Winnie Harlow made history. She was the first model with vitiligo to walk in the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. She also appeared in Beyoncé's visual album Beyoncé: Lemonade in 2016. The BBC honored her as one of the 100 Women in 2018. Later, she was a judge on the TV series Making the Cut.

Winnie Harlow was born Chantelle Brown-Young. Her birthday is July 27, 1994. She grew up in the Greater Toronto Area in Canada. Her parents are Lisa Brown and Windsor Young. Winnie has two sisters. Her family comes from Jamaica.
When she was four years old, she was diagnosed with vitiligo. This is a skin condition. It causes parts of the skin to lose their color. Other children often bullied Winnie because of her skin. They called her names like "cow" or "zebra." This bullying was very hard. It caused her to change schools many times. She even left high school because of it.

Becoming a Model
Winnie Harlow was discovered by Tyra Banks. Tyra Banks is the host of America's Next Top Model. She found Winnie on Instagram. Winnie then became one of the 14 finalists. This was for the 21st season of the show in 2014. She was the only Canadian ever on America's Next Top Model.
She was eliminated early in the competition. But she got a chance to return. She participated in a "comeback series." Here, she continued to do photo shoots. She received the most public votes. This allowed her to come back to the show. She was eliminated again later in the season. She finished in ninth place overall.
After America's Next Top Model, Winnie Harlow continued her modeling career. She modeled for the Spanish clothing brand Desigual. She became their official brand representative.
