Zazaki is a language spoken by the Zaza in eastern Turkey. It is part of the larger Indo-European language family. This family includes many languages spoken across Europe and parts of Asia. Zazaki is specifically a member of the Iranian group of languages.
This means Zazaki is related to other languages like Kurdish, Persian, and Balochi. It is mainly spoken in a region of Turkey called Anatolia. This area is located above the Euphrates and Tigris rivers. The exact number of people who speak Zazaki is not fully known.
