Zoe Rowlands Cassavetes (born on June 29, 1970) is an American film director, screenwriter, and actress. She is known for her work behind and in front of the camera. Zoe comes from a famous family of filmmakers. Her father was the well-known filmmaker John Cassavetes, and her mother is the talented actress Gena Rowlands. Zoe is especially recognized for directing her 2007 movie, Broken English.

Zoe Cassavetes's Journey in Film
Zoe Cassavetes started her journey in the film world very early. When she was just one year old, she appeared as a baby in her father's movie, Minnie and Moskowitz. However, her first official acting role was in 1991, in the film Ted & Venus. After that, she had small parts in movies like Noises Off and The Thing Called Love.
Creating Hi Octane
In 1994, Zoe teamed up with her friend, filmmaker Sofia Coppola. Together, they created and hosted a TV show called Hi Octane for Comedy Central. This show was a mix of funny skits and variety acts. Famous guests like Keanu Reeves, the Beastie Boys, and Martin Scorsese appeared on the show. Hi Octane only lasted for one season. But it was special because it was one of the first TV series ever filmed entirely using digital video.
