The show had two main hosts: Joey Lawrence and Candace Cameron. Marc Weiner also hosted a part of the show from Universal Studios Florida on the East Coast. This was the first Kids' Choice Awards since 1992, as there wasn't a show in 1993.

Celebrity Sliming
One of the most exciting parts of the Kids' Choice Awards is when a celebrity gets slimed! At this show, the famous actor James Earl Jones was slimed. He was introducing what he called the "Adult Appreciation Awards" when he got covered in green slime. He later said he felt the spirit of Nickelodeon!
