Jamaica quickly responded in the second half. In the 50th minute, Je-Vaughn Watson scored for Jamaica. He kicked the ball into the net after a corner kick. The score was now 1–1, making the game even more thrilling.
The winning goal came very late in the game. With only two minutes left, Jordan Morris scored for the United States. The ball came to him in the penalty area. He took a shot with his right foot, and it went into the right corner of the net. This goal made the score 2–1 for the U.S. and secured their victory!
